In 2009 we were very fortunate to meet Claire and everyone at Westlands stud. After visiting the stud we decided Westlands would be the best place to send our mare 'Daisy', to be covered by Westlands stallion Lawmens Diago.

The stud has excellent facilities, knowledgeable staff, and an excellent on call vet and we have always felt 110% with the care and work carried out by the staff at Westlands - thanks to all their hard work and time we now have two lovely young horses from the stud.

We have a 3yr old by lawmens diago, who was sent back to the stud to be backed this year and will be out competing in 2014 and we have recently brought another foal from Westlands stud by bambas legacy, who will be out showing in 2014, and when old enough start a showjumping career.

I would highly recommend Claire to anyone. After owning horses for many years including having foals from 6 months old I always wanted to breed a foal and Claire made this a very easy process. She was very knowledgeable and always talked through everything with me and welcomed me to come and visit my mare as often as I wanted. She has amazing facilities and plenty of land and my mare was very well looked after. My Mare came back home infoal and there was no question that I would send her back to westlands to foal down as I knew she would be well looked after with Claire.

As the months went by I was still in contact with Claire and she was always on hand to offer advice. I had a feeling that my mare would Foal early as she was starting to bag up so called on Claire who came out that day to check on her and she too thought that she would be early. She came and collected her and she was right as she did foal 2 weeks early. I now have a beautiful black Filly.

Claire at Westlands made my first time breeding a foal a very pleasurable one and if I do want to breed again I will go back to Claire.

Claire looked after my youngster one winter until I could bring him home and I cannot praise her enough. The yard is not based close to me, however I never worried about him during his stay and knew that he was looked after and correctly handled as though he was one of Claire’s very own. None of my requests were to much trouble and she regularly kept me up to date with his progress.

We recently kept our horse at Westlands for over a year and would like to thank Claire and her team for all the help they gave us. The yard is run in a very professional way but at the same time with a friendly atmosphere.

On more than one occasion they went out of their way to help us and nothing was too much trouble. Claire is very knowledgeable and competent, as are her staff. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her yard to anyone.

I took my mare to Westlands Stud last year for weaning. Weaning is always stressful and 'Ella' is a sensitive lady, but I need not have worried. Ella settled in very easily and obviously had lots of care and attention. She arrived there with the added problem of mud fever, but Claire and the girls religiously treated it, and it was well on the way to being cured by the time she came home.

I had no hesitation in taking Ella back to Westlands for weaning again this year, knowing she would be happy and very well cared for. Thank you to Claire and her staff!
